The Warminster Neighbourhood Plan has been a part of the Wiltshire Local Plan since November 2016, following a successful referendum vote, and as such it is used by Planning Officers when considering planning applications in Warminster.

Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their town and to help them deliver the sustainable development they need. Neighbourhood plans contain policies and proposals that will be used in decisions on planning applications.

Since our Plan was formally 'made' and came into use, there have been updates to national and local planning policy, as well as global issues, such as climate crisis. This means we need to look at our plan and check where it needs updating to stay relevant.
